St. E's hosting several activities

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, will be holding a chicken and waffle supper on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 3 to 7 p.m. The event will take place in the parish hall.

St. E's will also be having its fifth annual spectacular basket social on Columbus Day weekend, Friday, Oct. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Oct. 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. This also takes place in the social hall. Food will be available for purchase.

St. E's parish breakfasts are back. Come and enjoy the breakfast buffet on Sunday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Served will be bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries pancakes, French toast sticks, Danish, juice and coffee.

Homemade crepes will be available, too.


AARP Chapter 3115 will meet at noon today, Thursday, Oct. 2, at the American Club, 300 Cherry St., Coplay.

Refreshments will be served during the social hour. Flu shots will be available as well.

Musician and Pennsylvania Dutch humorist Keith Brintzenhoff will entertain.

Bring a nonperishable item for the food bank. New members are welcome.
