Coplay library: Library board thanks patrons for successful food drive
Thank you to everyone who participated in our July food drive, which benefited Coplay Recreation and Welfare Association’s food bank. Your donations were greatly appreciated!
We are entering the final weeks of our summer learning program. We still have some stuffed animals looking for a good home. For a small donation, your child can select a stuffed animal from our stuffed pet adoption center.
All proceeds will go to Peaceable Kingdom.
Join us for our movie night 8:30 p.m. Aug. 11. We will be showing “The Lorax.” Bring your blankets!
Our upcoming summer learning program activities are:
Disney storytime, 12:30 p.m. Aug. 15
The Stem Lab with Miss Veronica (featuring “Animal Gross Out”), 6 p.m. Aug. 16
Munchkin Music with Miss Deb, 4 p.m. Aug. 17
Weather permitting, our activities will be on the lawn.
Our final summer learning program event will be a visit from Wildlands Conservancy, with some of their furry friends, 11 a.m. Aug. 19. Everyone is welcome to attend!
Game night is 5-7 p.m. Aug. 28. While we have our regular Scrabble experts, if you would like to try a different game, we are up to the challenge!
The library will return to regular hours Aug. 28: 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Donations are being accepted for our October book sale. While we no longer accept textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books or VHS tapes, donations of books, magazines and DVDs are always welcome.
All donations are tax deductible and can be dropped off at the library during open hours.
The Borough of Coplay will celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2019. We will be collecting memorabilia to display throughout the entire year.
If you would like to loan any items to the library for the entire community to enjoy, please stop in and talk to a staff member.
If you would like to keep up with library activities, check out our website, coplaypubliclibrary.org, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.
