Catasauqua: Catasauqua Club plans Oct. 15 breakfast

Wednesday, October 11, 2017 by The Press in Columns

The Catasauqua Club, 226 Pine St., will be holding its breakfast 9 a.m.-noon Oct. 15.

The menu includes eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, crepes, French toast, potatoes, soup, fruit cup and drinks. Eggs Benedict and omelets made to order are also on the menu.

Reservations are suggested. Call the club at 610-264-1771.

The George Taylor House Committee will hold its next meeting 7 p.m. Oct. 17 at the GTH pavilion, Lehigh and Poplar streets.

The Suburban North YMCA is sponsoring Debbie’s Dash, the Debbie Linton Memorial 5K Oct. 21.

As a tribute to Debbie, the 5K will begin and end at Alumni Field in Catasauqua. In addition to the breast cancer run, there will be a scenic walk and a kids fun run (free to children ages 3 to 10).

Medals will be awarded to the top three in each age category. The overall male and female winners will receive a gift card. Immediately following the awards ceremony, the Bash After Dash will be held at the Willow Brook pavilion.

All proceeds from this event will enable the Y to donate a percentage to the American Cancer Society, offer cancer support groups at the Y and provide children in need in our service area with sponsorships to our YMCA, especially to our youth track program.

To register or for more information, contact the YMCA at 610-264-5221.
