Coplay Public Library: Holiday open house will be held Dec. 16

Wednesday, December 13, 2017 by The Press in Columns

Join the staff for our holiday open house, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 16. Refreshments will be served, and everyone is welcome to stop by and celebrate!

We will have music and singing and some special treats for our youngest patrons.

While visiting the open house, plan on staying for our free movie double-feature. At 11:30 a.m. we will be showing “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” The 1:30 p.m. movie will be the holiday classic “Elf.”

Thank you to everyone who dropped off items for the troops for our Operation Gratitude campaign. We are sure our veterans will enjoy them. Anyone who loaned us special items and pictures for our display can pick them up during the library’s open hours. Thank you for your participation.

Reminder: Our young citizens should join us for storytime and crafts with Miss Veronica 11 a.m. Dec. 14, 21 and 28.

All ages are welcome to join in the fun; preregistration is not necessary. If you have any questions, contact the library at 610-262-7351.

The library will be closing 6 p.m. Dec. 18 for the staff Christmas party. We will be closed Dec. 23, 25 and 30 and Jan. 1 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Please remember the library does not charge fines on holidays or days we open or close early.

Our game night players will be taking a rest for the holiday season, so plan on joining us 5-7 p.m. Jan. 29. Start the new year off by challenging our experts.

We are now accepting book donations for our April book sale. We no longer accept VHS tapes, textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest condensed books or any materials that are dirty, torn or damaged by mildew or smoke. All donations are tax-deductible.

Donations may be dropped off during our open hours — call or check the website if you’re not sure. For your safety, do not put books in the book drop box that is outside the library.

Follow our activities on our website, coplaypubliclibrary.org, or on Facebook and Twitter. We are only a few keystrokes away from you.

Remember, in case of inclement weather, you can check to see if we are open by following the WFMZ Storm Center. We do not charge fines for any days we are closed for weather.
