Fullerton: Food being accepted after Masses Feb. 18
St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be collecting food for the ecumenical food bank after all Masses Feb. 18. Please bring nonperishable food to the church foyer.
Cereal, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, beans and rice are always a big hit.
St. John’s United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., will be having Lenten worship services 6:30 p.m. Wednesday nights. Join the church for soup, bread and healthy desserts in Fox Hall.
The group will remain in the hall for learning and Lenten thoughts on “What Not to Give Up for Lent.” Each week will present a different topic.
Operation Rice Bowl is now in effect at St. Elizabeth’s. The children of the parish are asked to collect donations again this year. The children in kindergarten through eighth grade will be given one donation box per family. Please return all boxes by March 26.
All donations will be sent directly to Catholic Relief Services.
The Golden Agers of St. Elizabeth’s is sponsoring a bus trip March 14 to Hunterdon Dinner Theatre to see “Steel Magnolias.” The price includes transportation, dinner and the show.
The bus will leave the church parking lot 10 a.m.
To book this trip, call Charlotte at 484-264-3721.
My email address is email@example.com if there is any information you would like published in this column. My next column will appear in The Press March 1, so I need any information by Feb. 25.
