Hokendauqua: Cheering coaches are needed
Hokey AA is looking for volunteer cheering coaches.
You must be a team player and have an upbeat, positive attitude. You need to follow roles and the duties assigned to you by the head coach. Volunteer coaches will be asked to assist the head coach with teaching the youth of the organization the basics in pep squad cheering.
Knowledge of stunting, gymnastics and/or choreography is helpful.
You also must have up-to-date, cleared criminal background and child abuse clearances.
For more information or to apply to be a volunteer cheering coach, email Jessica, cheer commissioner, at email@example.com.
There will be a Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative meeting 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. June 26 at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road. The group always meets the fourth Tuesday of the month, and the meetings are open to the public.
Vacation Bible School at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church starts July 23 and continues until July 27, with a closing program July 29.
The theme this year is “Shipwrecked — Rescued by Jesus.”
Whitehall Bible Fellowship Church, 3300 Seventh St., will have VBS 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 13-17. The program this year, “Shipwrecked — Rescued by Jesus,” is free and open to children from age 3 to sixth grade.
