Wednesday, October 31, 2018 by The Press in Columns

The Bel Canto Youth Chorus of the Bach Choir in Bethlehem will offer a freewill concert 7 p.m. Nov. 4 at Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St.

This amazing and auditioned elite youth choir, directed by Joy Hirokawa, is well known for its musically innovative and artistic renditions and has frequently performed abroad.

Bob Yoder, a Pennsylvania Master Gardener, will share the history of the current attempt to save the American chestnut at the next Catasauqua Garden Club meeting 1 p.m. Nov. 7.

The club meets at the Slovak Center Social Club, 1233 Fifth St., North Catasauqua.

All garden-friendly folks are invited to attend and share in our interesting garden experiences.

Salem United Church of Christ, 615 Third St., will be holding a fall craft fair 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 10.

There will be crafters, a bake sale, basket raffle and lots of good food. Also available will be pickled red beets.

If you would like to have a table for a small donation, call the church office at 610-264-4091 or Bev Werner at 610-248-2822.
