Resident turns self in after 2017 robbery

Steven Poliquin, 29, of Lehigh Township, has been arrested for a 2017 armed robbery at Turkey Hill in Cherryville.

Lehigh Township Police Department said Poliquin contacted Lehigh Township police to turn himself in for the armed robbery that occurred approximately 10 p.m. Dec. 17, 2017, at the market, located at the intersection of Blue Mountain Drive and Lehigh Drive.

The initial police report stated a male subject wearing a mask and brandishing a firearm entered the store and held up the clerk.

Police said Poliquin provided police with details about the robbery.

Poliquin was charged and transported to Northampton County Prison Central Booking, police said. He was arraigned by District Magistrate Richard Yetter and remanded to the prison under $45,000 bail.
