Janet Louise Duchala, 88, died Nov. 30, 2018. She was the wife of the late Stephen Duchala Jr.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy (Jones) Fia and Charles Hippert.

She was a 1948 graduate of Allentown High School and graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse, and worked at the Allentown Hospital for several years before taking a job with Bethlehem Visiting Nurse Association. In 1981, she became a health care specialist in Nuremberg, Germany, until her retirement in 1994.

She is survived by a son, Michael and his wife Deborah; three daughters, Cynthia and her husband Eldon Walker, Judith and her husband Kenneth Kilareski and Lisa Kay and her husband Alan Druckenmiller; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She is predeceased by a son, Kevin; and a brother, James.

There will be a calling hour 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service 11 a.m., both Dec. 8 at the funeral home, 274 N. Krocks Road, Allentown.
