St. John’s Lutheran Church member

Samuel N. Wright, 79, of Fellowship Community, died March 7, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Cecile G. (Henry) Wright for 57 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Samuel W. and Minerva (Hoffman) Wright.

He was a 1957 Catasauqua High School graduate. He earned a pharmacy degree from Temple University.

He was in the U.S. Air Force and earned the rank of first lieutenant.

He was a pharmacist at Hilbert’s Pharmacy, Whitehall, and had worked for Upjohn Pharmaceutical Company, from which he retired.

He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bath. He was active with the former Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schoenersville, where he was the adult Bible study leader for many years.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lehigh Valley Industrial Park.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Beth and her husband Tom Smith; a son, Eric and his wife Mary Jo; six grandchildren, one great-grandson; and a daughter-in-law, Colleen Cox.

He was predeceased by a son, Wesley Wright.

There will be a viewing 10-11 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., March 14 in the Zentz Center at Fellowship Manor.
