Cementon/Egypt: Parish festival is set

Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church is hosting a parish festival 12:30-8 p.m. July 14 at Egypt Memorial Park, Hillcrest Lane and Curt Simmons Drive, rain or shine.

The event will include a bake sale, games, entertainment, food, bingo and a raffle.

There will be an outdoor Mass before the event, starting 11:30 a.m.

It’s time to register for Vacation Bible School at Egypt Community Church, to be held 6-8:30 p.m. July 15-19. The theme is “Miraculous Mission: Jesus Saves the World.”

The program, for children ages 3-12, will include Bible stories, crafts, skits, games and songs.

A gun raffle, sponsored by Egypt Fire Company, 4099 Kuhn Lane, is being planned. A total of 30 guns, valued at $17,000, will be raffled off Aug. 4.
