Jean M. Burrows, 94, of Catasauqua, died July 8, 2019, at Arden Courts, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Carl Burrows for 52 years.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Blanche V. (Borowski) Klinikowski.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in 1946 and a Masters in Education from Lehigh University in 1965. She also attended Muhlenberg College.

She was a fourth-grade teacher for seven years and a guidance counselor for 18 years with the Catasauqua School District before retiring in 1985.

She was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church and the former St. Lawrence the Martyr Church.

She is survived by a daughter, KeriLyn, with whom she lived; two nieces, Cindy Kelly and Carol Sadowski; and eight nephews, Paul Wunderlich, Alan, Jack and Barry Klinikowski, Geral Spearbaum and Sam, James and Forrest Burrows.

She was predeceased by two brothers, James J. and Col. Walter P. Klinikowski.

There will be a calling hour 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 11 a.m. at the church, 1229 Third St., North Catasauqua, both July 13.
