Fullerton: Church collecting for food bank

Wednesday, August 14, 2019 by The Press in Columns

St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave., will be collecting food for the food bank Aug. 18.

The Golden Agers of St. Elizabeth’s will have its next casino trip to Mohegan Sun Aug. 21. The bus leaves the church parking lot 11 a.m.

To reserve a seat, call Irene at 610-264-2721.

Whitehall Active Community Center, 2301 Pine St., West Catasauqua, will be having a yard sale 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 30. The yard sale will be held rain or shine.

The group is looking for vendors or anyone who would like a table to sell their items. Covered and uncovered tables are available at a cost. You may bring your own table as well.

Vendors agree to leave their space trash-free and remove everything they brought at the end of the day.

Call 610-443-0675 or send an email with any questions to whitehallactivecommunitycenter@gmail.com for an application to rent your space. Proceeds will benefit the Whitehall Active Community Center.

The Altar Guild of St. Elizabeth’s is in need of parishioners to help clean the church once a month. Times may vary, and usually, you can be finished in an hour.

Normally, cleaning is done on Monday mornings, but the schedule is flexible. Call the church office at 610-266-0695 if interested.
