Coplay police responded to these and other calls recently.

OCT. 19

Police responded to a report of a Chihuahua being hit by a car in the unit block of South Front Street. The dog was picked up by Sanctuary at Haafsville for medical treatment.

Welfare checks were performed on North Seventh and Chestnut streets.

Children playing in the street in the area of South 12th and Hokendauqua streets were reported.

Officers investigated a report of a pit bull running loose in the area of South Front and Hokendauqua streets.

An adult male was arrested for domestic assault in the 1000 block of Oak Street.

Police investigated a hit-and-run accident in the unit block of North Third Street.

Suspicious activity in the unit block of North Fourth Street was reported.

Officers assisted Whitehall police in identifying a suspicious person at Hokendauqua and North Fifth streets.

The department investigated the theft of prescription medications in the unit block of South Front Street.

A driver was charged with DUI during a traffic stop in the unit block of North Second Street.
