Whitehall Township Public Library: Open mic event set for Nov. 18

Wednesday, November 6, 2019 by The Press in Columns

The third Monday open mic and jam will be held 6:30 p.m. Nov. 18.

Thank you to Rocking the Valley Online Radio and Earl Andrews for their support.

Entertainers interested in performing three songs or a 15-minute set are asked to sign up 6-6:30 p.m.

Musicians, singers, poets, comedians, actors, writers and storytellers are invited to come show off your stuff, or just come and be part of the audience!

Come to the library to watch a movie 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of the month.

The Nov. 19 movie will be “Spider-Man: Far from Home,” rated PG-13.

Mark your calendar for the library’s annual book sale 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 22 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 23.

Find new and gently used books and media, as well as a table full of holiday items and yummy treats for sale.

Be sure to bring any sized bag for the bag sale noon-3 p.m. Nov. 23.

Reminder: The library will only be open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 27 and be closed the entire day Nov. 28 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The adult coloring club meets 11 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesday of every month. This club is for anyone 18 and older.

The library has some supplies but invites you to bring your own as well.

The What Are You Reading Now? book club meets 1 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Patrons are invited to chat about whatever books they are reading at the moment — the ones you loved, the ones you hated and everything in between.

There is always lively conversation with good discussions and laughs.

Did you know if you click on Research and Learn on the library’s website and choose Overdrive, you will have access to e-books and downloadables?
