Allyson Lehr has been appointed Director of Professional Development for the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors (GLVR).
Lehr is responsible for the educational training and professional development needs of GLVR membership, as well as the Professional Standards process.
She has extensive experience in grant writing and contract compliance, taught business classes at Northampton Community College and has more than 15 years in project management and compliance experience.
The Lehigh Carbon Community College Foundation has received a $15,000 grant from The Provident Bank Foundation to support the Success, Engagement, Education and Determination (SEED) Program Scholarships for Students with Disabilities.
The SEED program was selected to receive the grant based on its impact on students and its mission to support students who need extra services transitioning from high school to college.
SEED offers intensive coaching, peer-support networks, and person-centered planning that increase capacity for success.
House sales in the Lehigh Valley again declined, down in August, which is toward the close of the peak sales season.
July also saw a decline in house sales. And, in June, sales were flat, with no increase at all. Sales were up slightly in May.
September can be considered part of the peak house sales season as closings sometimes extend into the month.

House sales in the Lehigh Valley took a dive in the midst of the peak housing sales season.
Closed sales for houses in the Lehigh Valley dropped a significant 7.2 percent, with 814 houses sold, compared to 877 houses sold in July 2018, according to the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors (GLVR) monthly report released Aug. 13.
Closed sales for the first seven months of 2019 are up slightly, 0.2 percent, to 4,791 from 4,780 for the first seven months of 2018.
