St. Elizabeth hosts vendor, craft show

St. Elizabeth Child Care Center, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, will host a vendor and craft show with a raffle this Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be a great selection of gifts for Mother's Day including quilts, jewelry, flower arrangements, Avon, Thirty-One, Scentsy and Tupperware items.

Food and drinks will also be available.

Admission is free.

St. Elizabeth's will also hold their all-you-can-eat breakfast Sunday, April 13, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the parish hall.

Cub Pack 103 awarded medal

Members of Cub Scout Pack 103, based at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, were awarded the Parvuli Dei Medal during the 9:45 a.m. Mass Feb. 2.

After each weekend Mass, the Scouts collected donations with their souper bowl pots at the exits of the church. Half of the donations will go to the local Heart to Heart youth organization to benefit the typhoon victims in Tacloban, Philippines.

The remaining half will go to fund the pack's summer camp expenses.

St. Elizabeth's Regional School, Pershing Boulevard and Fullerton Avenue, Whitehall, will be having a designer clothing sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 8 in the parish social hall. This is a one-day-only sale. Brand new women's designer clothing, found only in specialty stores, will be sold at 70 percent-off retail value. Clothing is brand new and of exceptionally good quality and style. This is a cash-only sale. Proceeds benefit St. Elizabeth Regional School.

Longaberger bingo set for Jan. 17

St. John's United Church of Christ, 575 Grape St., Whitehall, will host a Longaberger basket bingo Friday, Jan. 17.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and games begin at 7 p.m.

There will be 20 games, a Chinese auction, three specials, 50/50 games and extra boards available.

The kitchen will be open.

The presale price is cheaper than the door price.

AARP to meet Jan. 2

AARP Chapter 3115 will meet at noon Thursday, Jan. 2 at the American Club, 300 Cherry St., Coplay.

Refreshments will be served during the social hour.

Rick Daugherty, executive director of Lehigh Valley Active Life, formerly known as the Lehigh County Senior Center, will speak about programs and activities available at the center.

New members are welcome.

Fullerton fire hall hosting event Sept. 7

The Fullerton Fire Hall will present an evening of great music, food and auctions highlighted by the renowned guitar work of Craig Thatcher and his band 5-10:30 p.m. Sept. 7.

Proceeds will benefit brain tumor patients and their families at Lehigh Valley Health Network and fund research for the National Brain Tumor Society.
