Spring arrives – looking for blooms

Today we officially welcome spring!

Hopefully, the piles of snow will all melt away and we will witness tulips, daffodils and other bulb flowers emerging from the ground.

Walkers, runners and bikers can be seen utilizing the Ironton Rail-Trail again, a welcome sight. Enjoy the beautiful trail as we enter spring.

The NCAA Basketball Tournament will be in full swing this weekend.

March Madness is always a fun time of the year to carry you through the remaining chilly days of the season while you are stuck indoors.

It's almost time to plant summer annuals

May is finally here!

Remember that even though temperatures are on the rise, it is still a little too early to plant annual flowers such as impatiens, petunias and begonias.

The rule of thumb is to wait until May 15 when the threat of frost is behind us.

Have fun enjoying the warmer weather and preparing your yard for pretty flowers.

With the milder weather comes creepy and crawly ticks.

Be sure to check yourself and your pets after spending time outdoors. Wearing light clothing will help to identify the critters, too.
