Coplay Borough Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. at the borough municipal building, 98 S. Fourth St.

Whitehall-Coplay School Board committee meetings scheduled include Education/Student Activities Committee 4 p.m.; Operations/Transportation Committee, 5:30 p.m.; Finance/Personnel committee, 6:45 p.m. Meetings are held in the WCSD Administration Building, 2940 MacArthur Road.

Mary T. Faust, formerly of Coplay, died Jan. 6, 2013, at the home of her daughter, Barbara Pammer, in Orlando, Fla. She was the wife of the late Allan C. Faust.

Born in Stiles, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Frisch) Rothdeutsch.

She worked for the former Lova Textile Mill, Coplay.

She was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her daughter, she is survived by two sisters, Emily Hornak of Northampton and Ella Schloffer of Coplay; nieces; and nephews.

Arrangements were made by Hauke Funeral Home Inc., Coplay.

The Hokendauqua Athletic Association on Sunday held its annual postseason banquet for its youth football teams and cheerleaders. The dinner program was held at the American Club of Coplay Pavilion. Members and coaches of the 95-pound Hokey Eagles, who made the playoffs and were awarded a trophy, were present. Crime victims council

New support group launched

The Crime Victims Council of Lehigh Valley Inc. will offer a new support counseling group beginning Wednesday, Jan. 23, for women 18 years of age and over, who have been sexually assaulted or sexually abused.

The group will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for 10 weekly sessions at the Crime Victims Council's Allentown office, located at 801 Hamilton St.

Topics of discussion will include the emotional aftermath, coping skills and relationship issues.

The support group is confidential, facilitated by two trained sexual assault counselors and provided at no cost.

Dr. Will-iam G. Bar-tholomew, 96, formerly of Emmaus, a life-long educator who served as the first executive director of the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit and as a leader in the planning and formation of the Lehigh County Vocational Technical School and the Lehigh/Carbon Community College, died Jan. 4, 2013, at Luther Crest Retirement Community in Allentown. He was the husband of the late Carrie (Paules) Bartholomew. He was born in West Catasauqua.

Darlene F. (Frantz) Roth, 82, of Quakertown and formerly of Northampton, died Dec. 28, 2012, at Life Quest Nursing Center, Quakertown. She was the wife of the late James D. Roth who died in 2009.

Born in Nazareth, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Dorothy (Grube) Frantz. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Northampton.

Wayne Bloomberg, 66, of Northampton, died unexpectedly Jan. 8, 2013, in Pocono Medical Center. He was the husband of Danielle (Mihalko) Bloomberg for 40 years.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Everet and Lenore (Long) Bloomberg.

He was in the U.S. Army and was a lieutenant in Vietnam and a captain in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Wilkes College.

He was a wage practice consultant at AT&T - Agere until he retired in 2003.
