PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing on March 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Municipal Building, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie, Pa. for the purpose of receiving public comments on an ordinance entitled "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND ADD TO THE EXISTING AGRICULTURAL SECURITY AREA WITHIN LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP PURSUANT TO THE AGRICULTURAL AREA SECURITY LAW 3 P.S. 901, ET SEQ. BY INCORPORATING 28.276+/- ACRES OF LAND LOCATED AT 6270 SAUERKRAUT LANE AND OWNED BY LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP; PROVIDING FOR THE SEVER-ABILITY OF PARTS OF THIS ORDINANCE DEEMED TO BE INVALID; REPEALING ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE". The proposed ordinance will add 28.276+/- acres located at 6270 Sauerkraut Lane (PIN 547446935584) into the Agricultural Security Area. At the conclusion of the Public Hearing, the Board of Commissioners will consider the Ordinance for adoption. The Lower Macungie Township Planning Commission reviewed the proposed Agricultural Security Area at their February 13, 2018 meeting and recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve same. A copy of the full text of this Ordinance is available to any interested party for inspection and/or copying at the Township Municipal Building, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie, Pa, or for inspection during normal business hours at the offices of this newspaper, East Penn Press, 1633 N. 26th Street, Allentown, Pa 18104 and the Lehigh County Department of Law, Room 440, 17 S. 7th Street, Allentown, Pa 18101. All interested parties are invited to attend. The Lower Macungie Township Municipal Building is accessible to the physically handicapped. Any person that requires special assistance to understand the nature of the business conducted at the above meeting because of visual, hearing, or other impairment is requested to contact the Township Secretary at least five days prior to the scheduled meeting to arrange for the necessary assistance.
