It's almost time to plant summer annuals

May is finally here!

Remember that even though temperatures are on the rise, it is still a little too early to plant annual flowers such as impatiens, petunias and begonias.

The rule of thumb is to wait until May 15 when the threat of frost is behind us.

Have fun enjoying the warmer weather and preparing your yard for pretty flowers.

With the milder weather comes creepy and crawly ticks.

Be sure to check yourself and your pets after spending time outdoors. Wearing light clothing will help to identify the critters, too.

Spring has arrived in Stiles

The temperatures have been on the rise lately.

We may safely be able to say that spring has finally sprung in Stiles!

As a result of the milder temperatures, the Ironton Rail Trail has been seeing a lot of pedestrian and bike traffic. Hopefully, the harsh cold and windy days of winter are behind us.

Whatever you decide to do in the more seasonal spring weather, enjoy yourself.
