On Saturday, May 2, Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church will hold a craft fair and quilt sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Homemade baked goods will also be for sale.

Camp Rhythmo returns to the Whitehall area (Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ironton Rail Trail) July 6-17, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

This year's theme is "Go the Distance!" Activities include music, yoga and creative arts.

There is a cost with a special discounted rate now until March 31.

Park cleanup planned Saturday

Help is needed for the annual cleanup day at the Egypt Memorial Park on Saturday, March 28. Volunteers are being sought, beginning at 8 a.m. Bring shovels, rakes, paint brushes and gloves, and be prepared to assist with getting the playground ready for the upcoming spring season.

Egypt Community Church, 4129 South Church St., Whitehall, will be hosting an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11.

Fullerton to hold egg hunt next Saturday

Fullerton Memorial Park will hold its annual Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 28, starting at noon.

The rain date is Sunday, March 29 at noon.

Children 12 and under are invited to participate.

It is requested that each family register their child for the event by emailing Heather at mommab1123@gmail.com.

Register by March 21, and reply with the child's name, age and gender.

The egg hunt is divided by age groups, which allows the parents to see each child having fun.

There will also be a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Welcome, spring!

Fortunately, we will welcome the arrival of spring on Friday, March 20.

The snow has begun to melt away, and hopefully, spring blooms are not too far off in the future.

The Stiles Playground Association will hold its 2015 egg hunt on Sunday, March 22 at 1 p.m. at the playground.

Membership is required for participation in the egg hunt. Families can sign their children up the day of the hunt.

Remember to bring a bag or basket in which your children can collect their eggs.

Book discussion group scheduled

The Whitehall Township Public Library's adult book discussion will take place the first Tuesday and Thursday in March, April and May.

The March book talk centers around "The Invention of Wings" by Sue Monk Kidd and the talk is scheduled for 6-7 p.m. tonight, Thursday, March 5.

In April, participants talk about "Loving Frank" By Nancy Horan 6-7 p.m. Thursday, April 2, or 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, April 7.

In May, it's "God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater" Or "Pearls Before Swine" by Kurt Vonnegut set for discussion 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, or 6-7 p.m. Thursday, May 7.

Garden show set for March 13-15

The Philadelphia Flower Show is still going on through March 8.

However, if you don't want to trek all the way to Philadelphia, you are in luck since the Lehigh Valley Flower, Garden & Pool Show is coming to the Allentown Fairgrounds March 13-15.

The garden and floral displays are always beautiful sights to see at this show, especially while we are still experiencing cold winter temperatures.

The hours for the show are Friday, March 13, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 15, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

St. E's to host breakfast

St. Elizabeth's parish will hold its next monthly breakfast buffet this Sunday, March 8, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the social hall.

Come and fill up on all your favorites like bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, pancakes, French toast sticks, Danish, juice, coffee and tea. Homemade crepes will be available also.

Just a reminder that the Fullerton Athletic Association will hold its last sign-ups for baseball and softball this Saturday, March 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the playground facility on Jefferson Street, in Fullerton.

Still time to apply for scholarship

The Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association will award two $1,000 scholarships from the Bob Warke – Dale Horn Scholarship Program.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be a class of 2015 graduate, be continuing their education fall of 2015, have participated in HPPA's basketball, softball or baseball youth programs and have handed in a completed scholarship application form to HPPA by Feb. 28.
