As we continue with the Whitehall Township Library's 50th celebration, we will have a 1960s car show this Saturday in the parking lot in the back of the library. The rain date is Saturday, June 6.
We are asking patrons with cars from the '50s, '60s or '70s to come out and show off their cars from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Call the library or pick up registration forms at the circulation desk.
Space is limited to 20 cars.
There will be no prizes or awards, just pure fun.
There will be a joint Memorial Day service of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and St. John's United Church of Christ, Mickleys at 9:30 a.m. this Sunday, May 24 at St. John's.
Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church is selling IronPigs baseball tickets for a Friday, June 5 game starting at 7 p.m.

Camp Rhythmo returns to the Whitehall area (Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ironton Rail Trail) July 6 through 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The library will be hosting a Child ID program on Saturday, June 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Parents will be provided with a CD containing complete information on their child: photographs, digital fingerprints, voice print and video. The program is free.
May is Zinio Month at the Coplay Library!
Zinio is a digital magazine service offered to our patrons. Currently we have 103 magazines available for you to download to your Kindles, iPad, iPhone or computers.
Egypt Community Church, 4129 S. Church St., will be changing its worship time for the summer months.
Beginning June 14, Sunday worship services will be at 9 a.m., followed by adult Sunday school at 10:15 a.m.
The summer schedule will continue through Aug. 30.
On Sept. 6, the normal worship schedule will restart.
We have a lot going on at the Whitehall Township Public Library during the next few months because of our 50th anniversary.

Since we are fast-approaching May 15, the threat of frost should be no more.
We should all be safe to plant our annual flowers now and enjoy them through summer.
The neighborhoods are already looking welcoming with the green grass and colorful hanging baskets and pots appearing on the porches and patios of our community.
Hopefully, everyone is enjoying the warmer weather we are having.
The Fullerton American Legion Post 367, 609 Fullerton Ave., will have its Memorial Day service outside on Post grounds, weather permitting, 10 a.m. Monday, May 25.
If the weather does not cooperate, the event will be held inside the main hall.
There is ample parking in the lot to the rear and north sides of the Post home.
Light refreshments will be served after the ceremonies.

The Laurel Fire Company is hosting a Roaring '20s party 8-11 p.m. May 16. Included with your ticket purchase is an entry into a costume contest, your first 1920s-style drink, a silent films showcase, a light buffet and an unforgettable night, all for a good cause.
The music for the night will be provided by the live jazz band Jazz Liquidity. They will be performing big band hits such as "The Charleston," "Minnie the Moocher," "Jump Jive and Wail," "Puttin' on the Ritz," "It Had to Be You" and "It Don't Mean a Thang," plus 50 other great jazz tunes from that era.
Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road, will hold a blood drive Monday, May 11, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association is hosting a Night at the Races Saturday, May 16, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and the first race starting at 6 p.m.
Videotapes will be shown of actual horse races.
The event takes place at the Cementon Playground pavilion on Dewey Street.
Food and refreshments will be available.
There is a cost.
