Egypt Community Church, 4129 South Church St., will be hosting a spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12. The cost of the meal will include beverages and dessert. There is a discount for seniors (60+). Tickets can be purchased at the door. Takeout orders will also be available. Proceeds from this fundraising dinner will benefit the church's many missions. St. Elizabeth Child Care Center, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, will host a vendor and craft show with a raffle this Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will be a great selection of gifts for Mother's Day including quilts, jewelry, flower arrangements, Avon, Thirty-One, Scentsy and Tupperware items.
Food and drinks will also be available.

On Saturday, April 12, Whitehall Zephyr Football Team will host their Third Annual Spaghetti Dinner at the Fullerton Memorial Playground, located at 901 Jefferson St., Whitehall.
There are two seatings for dinner. The first seating will take place 4:30-6 p.m. The second seating will occur 6:30-8 p.m.
The menu includes: spaghetti with meatballs and sauce, salad, rolls, beverages, coffee and fresh baked desserts. As a special treat, your dinner will be served by the Whitehall Zephyr Football Team!
St. Stephen's Food Bank, 3900 Mechanicsville Road, which supplies food to people in Whitehall Township, is in need of your food donations, especially as they are getting ready to prepare food baskets for Easter distributions. Donations can be dropped off any day at the church's office.

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church's youth group is selling nut rolls and shoofly pies. The nut rolls are from Country Cottage and come with nut, lekvar, poppy, seedless raspberry and apricot fillings. Orders must be received by March 30 and will be delivered on Tuesday, April 8.
The shoofly pies come from Wixon bakery. They are a normal 9-inch pie. The pies must be ordered by April 6 and will be delivered on Tuesday, April 15. To order, call the church office at 610-262-1600 or Lisa at 610-262-4053.

Hopefully, the piles of snow will all melt away and we will witness tulips, daffodils and other bulb flowers emerging from the ground.
Walkers, runners and bikers can be seen utilizing the Ironton Rail-Trail again, a welcome sight. Enjoy the beautiful trail as we enter spring.
The NCAA Basketball Tournament will be in full swing this weekend.
March Madness is always a fun time of the year to carry you through the remaining chilly days of the season while you are stuck indoors.
The IRT historical walk will take place this Saturday 9 a.m. The hike starts at the Whitehall Parkway Barn on Chestnut Street, just west of MacArthur Road by the traffic light at Sheetz.
The IRT traverses the sites of the first anthracite fueled iron company and the first Portland Cement Company in America, both of which contributed to the Industrial Revolution. No less than 23 historical sites and landmarks will be presented. This trail is a loop with an even surface of asphalt or packed millings and passes through several communities.
Members of Cub Scout Pack 103, based at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, were awarded the Parvuli Dei Medal during the 9:45 a.m. Mass Feb. 2.
After each weekend Mass, the Scouts collected donations with their souper bowl pots at the exits of the church. Half of the donations will go to the local Heart to Heart youth organization to benefit the typhoon victims in Tacloban, Philippines.
The remaining half will go to fund the pack's summer camp expenses.
The Friends of the Whitehall Township Public Library is seeking donations of gently-used books for the ongoing book sale that takes place at the library.
Donations are greatly appreciated and can be brought to the library, 3700 Mechanicsville Road, Whitehall, during regular hours.
Hopefully warmer weather arrives soon.
