Friends of the Whitehall Township Public Library will meet 2:30 p.m. March 12, in the library, 3700 Mechanicsville Road. New members are welcome.
Donations of gently-used books for the ongoing book sale are greatly appreciated and can be brought to the library during regular hours.

Thursday, March 13 – 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m., membership luncheon, Fellowship Community, "How Businesses Can Benefit from Preventative Health for their Employees." Presented by John Nespoli, president and CEO, Sacred Heart Hospital.
Members of Cub Scout Pack 103, based at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, were awarded the Parvuli Dei Medal during the 9:45 a.m. Mass Feb. 2.
After each weekend Mass, the Scouts collected donations with their souper bowel pots at the exits of the church. Half of the donations will go to the local Heart to Heart youth organization to benefit the typhoon victims in Tacloban, Philippines. The remaining half will go to fund the pack's summer camp expenses.
In continuation of its Bob Warke–Dale Horn Scholarship Program, The Hokendauqua Park and Playground Association will be awarding two $1,000 scholarships
This year marks the 27th anniversary of the basketball tournament, whose proceeds are used to fund the scholarship awards.
The Egypt Memorial Park pavilion is available for rent this spring, summer, fall and new winter rentals starting this year. The indoor pavillion can hold 150 people and the outside pavillion up to 200. Rent both together for large events to host weddings, showers, graduations, reunions and picnics. The Cement Belt Fair committee has begun making arrangements for bookings and shows. Anyone interested in participating in the fair this year should contact 610-657-7986.
St. Elizabeth's Regional School, Pershing Boulevard and Fullerton Avenue, Whitehall, will be having a designer clothing sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 8 in the parish social hall. This is a one-day-only sale. Brand new women's designer clothing, found only in specialty stores, will be sold at 70 percent-off retail value. Clothing is brand new and of exceptionally good quality and style. This is a cash-only sale. Proceeds benefit St. Elizabeth Regional School.
St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church, 435 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, will hold their next all-you-can-eat breakfast 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 9. The event takes place in the social hall next to the church.
Fullerton Memorial Athletic Association will have baseball and softball registration 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 8.

This weekend is the long-awaited St. John the Baptist Church Eighth Annual Tricky Tray. If you have cabin fever, come out to St. John's 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 9. The event is held in Ruffenach Hall, located on the church grounds at Ruch and Chestnut streets. You have the opportunity to purchase chances to win some fabulous prizes. The kitchen will be open and selling delicious food fare. Amazing baked goods will be available for purchase. Stop by the tricky tray event and have some winter fun.
The Laurel Fire Company is gearing up for the annual adult bingo held Saturday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m.
Tickets include 20 games of bingo and refreshments.
