Lee R. Sieger, 81, of Coplay, died Feb. 24, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Doris A. (Fox) Sieger for 61 years.
Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Lee B. and Lulu (Holwig) Sieger.
He was a junior high school Geography teacher for 35 years with the Northampton Area School District, retiring in 1989.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Coplay.
Bernice M. Snyder, a centenarian, born December 3, 1912, and lifelong resident of Lake Hauto, died peacefully March 3, 2013, in Blue Mountain Health System Gnaden Huetten Campus, with her dedicated family by her side. She was very proud to be a part of five living generations of her family. She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. "Cookie" Snyder for 38 years at the time of his death, Dec. 19, 1968.
Born in Nesquehoning she was the daughter of the late John and Emma (Penberth) Shinton.
Mary Alice Cassler, 71, of Whitehall, died Feb. 12, 2013, in the Inpatient Hospice Unit. Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.
Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Philip O. and Marion (Snyder) Cassler.
She was a sales associate at Sam's Club, Allentown, since 1997. Before that, she worked at Woolworth's, Whitehall, for 35 years.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Catasauqua.
Stella F. Kolanich, 89, of Northampton, died Feb. 23, 2013, in Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton. She was the wife of the late Michael Kolanich.
Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Corsi) Nero.
She retired in 1982 from the former Cross Country Clothes after many years.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and the St. John's Apostleship of Prayers.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Thomas S. Nederostek, 88, of Northampton, died Feb. 26, 2013, in his home. Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Madaya) Nederostek.
He was in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked at the Bethlehem Steel Company for 30 years before retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Northampton.
He is survived by a sister, Irene V. Tanzosh of Northampton; five nieces and nephews, Eileen Laufik, Joan Filipovits, Eugene and Jerome Tanzosh and Kathleen Smith; great-nieces; and great-nephews.
Rose M. Tapler, 90, of Coplay, died Feb. 21, 2013, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late John "Shorty" J. Tapler.
Born in Beersville, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Sophie (Puskaritz) Bodish.
She was the marking manager for the former Hess's Department Store, Allentown.
She was a member of St. Peter R.C. Church, Coplay, and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a member of the Coplay Senior Citizens.
Joseph Maslany, 87, of Sewell, N.J., and formerly of Catasauqua, died Feb. 20, 2013, at Cardinal Village Retirement Community, Sewell, N.J. He was the husband of the late Jeanette I. (Bartholomew).
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late John and Catherine (Petrosky) Maslany.
He was a Merchant Marine during World War II.
He was a sheet metal fabricator for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, Homer Research Lab, for 30 years before retiring in 1985.
He was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Northampton.
Elizabeth "Betty" B. Tanzosh, 89, formerly of Northampton, died Feb. 24, 2013, in Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, N.J. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Tanzosh.
Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Mayer) Makovsky.
She was a secretary for the M&M Mars Company, Hackettstown, N.J., for many years. Before that, she worked at Mack Trucks Inc.
She was a member of the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Church and the Young at Heart Senior Group.
She was a Northampton Food Bank volunteer.
Mary "Muddy" A. Horvath, 87, of Northampton, died Feb. 25, 2013, in Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late Geza J. Horvath.
Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Julianna (Orban) Sakovits.
She worked at the former Champion Spark Plug Company, Hellertown, for many years. During World War II, she was a welder for several years.
She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.
She was a member of the St. Peter and Paul Hungarian Society, Northampton.

She was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Durochik) Segan.
