Kathleen C. Kraynek, 83, of Catasauqua, died Sept. 24, 2012, at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of George R. Kraynek Sr. of Catasauqua for 63 years.

Born in Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Yost) Pascoe.

She was a 1947 graduate of Catasauqua High School.

She retired in 1984 after 22 years of service from Western Electric/AT&T.

She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Catasauqua.

Richard E. Schoemaker, 80, of Northampton, died Sept. 18, 2012, in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Dolores B. (Cesanek) Schoemaker for 56 years.

Born in Orefield, he was the son of the late Walter and Verna (Miller) Schoemaker.

He retired in 1992 from the Bethlehem Steel Corporation, where he had been a crane operator in Saucon Shipping.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton.

Mary Bauer, 87, of Coplay, died Sept. 20, 2012, in the home of her daughter, Dianne Tourtellott. She was the wife of the late Rudolph A. Bauer.

Born in Ormrod, she was a daughter of the late Josephat and Nancy (Myzyka) Reszetar.

She worked at the former Cross Country Clothes for 46 years and retired in 1988. She was a waitress at the Northampton Community Center for 30 years.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and a school and church functions volunteer.

Ann Kochenash Pristash, 94, of Covington, Va., died Oct. 9, 2012, in her home, She was the wife of the late Andrew Jake Pristash.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Katherine (Broshyna) Kochenash.

She taught upholstery at Jackson River Vocational School, Covington, Va.

She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Covington, and of Episcopal Church Women, Daughters of the King, and the altar guild.

William J. Kraynick

William "Bill" J. Kraynick, 79, of Whitehall, died Oct. 1, 2012. He was the husband of Jean K. (Keldsen) Kraynick for 54 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Kremko) Kraynick.

He was in the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean War.

He worked for many years at Lucent Technologies, where he was president of the IBEW union.

He was a member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, Catasauqua.

He was one of the founding members of the First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, Allentown.

Charles V. Pizzo, 82, of Whitehall, died Sept. 25, 2012, at home. He was the husband of Irene (Kramer) Pizzo for 59 years.

Born in Phillipsburg, N.J., he was the son of the late Anthony and Santa (Re) Pizzo.

He was a Korean War veteran and was a sergeant first class in the U.S. Army.

He was a supervisor for Essroc Cement Company, Coplay and Nazareth for 35 years and retired in 1992.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

Joseph F. Weber Sr., 72, of Bath, died Oct. 10, 2012, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Paulette M. (Sniscik) Weber for 45 years.

Born in Manhattan, N.Y.C., he was a son of the late Pauline (Weber) Miller.

He was a 1958 graduate of Northampton High School.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam era and had a rank of lance corporal.

He was a layout operator for the Agere Corporation, Allentown, for 43 years, retiring in 2002.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bath.

She worked at PPL Electric Utilities Corporation for 38 years, retiring in 2002 as an administrative assistant.

She was a member of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton.

She was a volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown, and with the Bethlehem Chapter of Meals on Wheels.

She was a graduate of the former St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing.

She was a registered nurse at the Allentown State Hospital for 25 years before retiring in 1998.

She was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown.
