Joseph Richard Kucharik, 97, of Whitehall, died Oct. 29, 2018. He was the husband of the late Catherine M. “Bonnie” (Bonenberger) Kucharik for 65 years.

He was a son of the late John and Mary (Katerinec) Kucharik.

He was an Allentown High School graduate.

He was a machinist for Bradley Pulverizer for 46 years until he retired.

He was a 1935 and 1936 Amateur Bicycle League winner. He was a member of the Allentown Wheelmen Cycle Team.

Cheryl Ann Frisch, 60, of Allentown, died Oct. 26, 2018, at VNA Hospice House, St. Luke’s, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Thomas G. Frisch for 27 years.

Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of George and the late Margaret (Hatrock) Sarosky.

She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

She attended and participated in events at the Lehigh Valley Wildlands Conservancy.

Sandra Swan Smith, 75, of Slatington, died Nov. 1, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Portland, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Harold M. and Pauline B. (Hews) Swan.

She was a 1961 graduate of South Portland High School.

She was an administrative assistant at Guardian Life, Bethlehem, for many years until she retired.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Slatington, where she sang in the choir.

Devon T. Seier, 27, of Allentown, died suddenly Oct. 14, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Lisa Ann Seier.

He was a 2009 graduate of Parkland High School and a 2014 graduate of Bloomsburg University.

He was a salesman for Haldeman Ford, Allentown.

He attended St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bath.

AnnaMae L. Snyder, 68, of Whitehall, died Oct. 23, 2018, in the inpatient hospice unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Thomas F. Snyder for 45 years.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Elvin C. and Elva I. (Rex) Hunsicker.

She was a teacher’s aide for the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit 21, Schnecksville, for 15 years before she retired.

She was a former volunteer at the Cat Shack Inc., Whitehall.

Scott Thomas White, 37, of Palmerton and formerly of Slatington and Whitehall, died Oct. 21, 2018, in South Whitehall Township. He was the husband of Beth A. (Schmoyer) White of Slatington.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of Cheryl A. (David) White-Lee of Mason City, Iowa, and the late Robert J.H. White Sr. He was a stepson of Delbert A. Lee.

He was employed at various construction companies.

He is survived by his cousins.

Mary Babinetz Meeko, 79, of North Catasauqua, died Oct. 23, 2018. She was the wife of the late Joseph Meeko.

Born in Nesquehoning, he was a daughter of the late John and Mary Babinetz.

She was a 1957 graduate of Nesquehoning High School.

She was a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone, Allentown. She retired in 1994 from Western Electric/Bell Labs/AT&T, Allentown.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, and then of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, North Catasauqua.

The Rev. Edward W. McElduff, 96, pastor emeritus at St. Nicholas Parish, Walnutport, died at his residence Oct. 21, 2018.

Born in New York, N.Y., he was a son of the late John and Mary (Boyle) McElduff.

He attended Brooklyn Prep School, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Woodrow Wilson High School, Camden, N.J.; and St. Joseph College, Philadelphia. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary, Overbrook.

He was a lieutenant from 1943 to 1946 in the U.S. Navy.
