OCT. 1

Police responded to reports of harassment on Fifth Street and Zephyr Boulevard.

The department responded to reports of two reckless drivers on MacArthur Road.

Animal complaints on MacArthur Road, Lee Street and South Fifth Avenue were received.

Officers investigated disturbances on Eisenhower Circle, MacArthur Road, Highland Avenue and Fifth Street.

Police responded to a disorderly conduct report on Zephyr Boulevard.

OCT. 1

A three-vehicle crash occurred in the 600 block of Race Street.

In the 500 block of Poplar Street, police assisted a citizen who fell.

Officers responded to a parking complaint in the 300 block of Church Street. A vehicle was parked on private property.

Daniel Haines, 38, of Catasauqua, was charged with simple assault, physical harassment and contact in the 500 block of Pine Street.

Police sought information regarding a case in the 300 block of Church Street.

A domestic dispute involving a male and female in the 500 block of East 11th Street was reported.

A report of a suspicious act by a known male brought police to the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

Officers said a female causing a disturbance occurred in the unit block of West 10th Street.

In the 100 block of Held Drive, police investigated a report of a female harassing two males and a female.

Officers assisted Catasauqua police with a report of a fight at Front and Chestnut streets.

OCT. 8

Police investigated reports of criminal mischief in the 1000 blocks of Fourth and Fifth streets.

The department responded to a general complaint in the 1200 block of Second Street.

A report of trespassing in the 1100 block of Front Street brought police to the scene.

Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person in the unit block of North Third Street.

A suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of South Second Street was reported.

Police responded to an animal complaint in the 200 block of North Ruch Street. A resident was concerned about his neighbor’s aggressive dog and the fence between yards.

The department performed a welfare check in the unit block of North Third Street.

Northampton man killed in Whitehall Twp. collision

A Northampton man was killed Oct. 11 in a two-vehicle crash in Whitehall Township.

According to Whitehall police, the motor vehicle accident occurred approximately 3:30 p.m. on Ruchsville Road, between South Church and Bridge streets.

Brock Weiss, 28, was the driver of a vehicle involved in a collision with another vehicle. He was pronounced dead just after 4 p.m. Oct. 11 at the scene, Lehigh County Deputy Coroner Raymond Anthony said.

Anthony ruled the cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death as an accident.

SEPT. 24

In the 500 block of Wood Street, a dispute between a husband and wife occurred.

Police assisted adult probation at Pyramid Healthcare, 124 Bridge St.

At Apartments for the Elderly, 118 Bridge St., officers sought information regarding a case.

A suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of Third Street was reported to the department. A stolen plate was recovered and the vehicle towed.

In the 200 block of Wood Street, a subject was detained on a warrant and taken to central booking.

A drug investigation brought officers to Sixth Street.

Police investigated a report of a runaway in the 500 block of Second Street.

Thefts from vehicles occurred on Eisenhower Circle, Columbia and North Second avenues and Broad, West Tyler and Columbia streets.

The department responded to disturbances on MacArthur Road, Grape Street and Schadt Avenue.

Officers investigated the theft of a motor vehicle in the 5500 block of Main Street.

Police continue to seek suspect

THIRD ST. SHOOTING

Whitehall Township Police Department continues to investigate a shooting Oct. 5 in the 900 block of Third Street.

According to the report, the incident occurred just after 8 p.m. inside Goodfellas barber shop, 927 Third St. One victim was transported to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

The suspect is described as a male, possibly in his 20s, standing about 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing 180 to 200 pounds. He was wearing dark clothes with a hood.
