The department assisted Catasauqua police with a domestic issue in the 100 block of Railroad Street.

A disturbance in the 1100 block of Front Street was reported.

Officers investigated a report of fraud in the 1100 block of Railroad Street.

Police responded to a disturbance in the area of Second and Eugene streets.

Officers were on the scene of a domestic offense against family in the 1000 block of North Sixth Street.

Police investigated a theft in the 1500 block of Creekside Road.

Disturbances on MacArthur and Mechanicsville roads and Mickley Run were reported.

The department responded to a truancy report on Zephyr Boulevard.

Officers were on the scene of a fire in the 2100 block of Center Street.

Criminal mischief on Ruch Street, Rosewood Lane and Eberhart Lane was reported.

State police investigating Lehigh Twp. vehicle break-ins

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, is investigating numerous thefts from motor vehicles that began April 3.

The thefts have occurred in Lehigh County as listed below:

• Thefts occurred in the 3700 block of Magnolia Drive and the 500 block of Walnut Drive in Northampton. Both were investigated by Lehigh Township Police Department.

APRIL 1

A warrant service for a wanted female was served in the 1000 block of Main Street. The female was transported to Northampton Borough Police Department and released to Lehigh County parole officers.

Officer Buchanan and K-9 Vito assisted Whitehall Township Police Department in the search of a male in the 2200 block of MacArthur Road, Whitehall.

APRIL 2

A domestic dispute occurred in the 1600 block of Railroad Street.

Police responded to a report of ATVs driving on the street in the unit block of North Front Street.

Officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Coplay Parkway.

The department investigated a report of an unlocked door in the 500 block of Chestnut Street.

A welfare check was performed in the 200 block of Coplay Street.

April 2 marked Coordinated Traffic Enforcement Day in Pennsylvania.

In an effort to advance the Vision Zero 2019 Plan, adopted by Lehigh Township last month, Lehigh Township Police Department, in cooperation with Walnutport Police Department, conducted multiple simultaneous traffic enforcement details on Routes 145 and 248 in Lehigh Township.

During this five-hour traffic enforcement wave, 81 total citations were issued.

Seventy-seven citations were issued for speeding, with the fastest recorded vehicle traveling at 94 miles per hour on Route 145.

MARCH 14

Officers attempted to contact an individual in the 400 block of Race Street for Upper Saucon Township police.

A citation was issued on 14th Street.

In the 200 block of Race Street, a citation was issued for a construction zone traffic violation.

At Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., a dog bite occurred. The owner was cited.

MARCH 15

A cable wire was pulled down in the 800 block of Race Street. Police responded.

Officers received a request to check the tire of a legally parked vehicle in the 1600 block of Railroad Street. Police said the tire appeared to be low on air.

A theft from a vehicle in the 1300 block of Main Street was reported. The passenger-side windshield wiper was removed from a legally parked vehicle.

An unwanted male in the 2100 block of Main Street was reported to police.

Coplay woman killed in crash

A 48-year-old Coplay woman died after the 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle she was a passenger on was struck by a 2006 Infiniti G35 driven by a 16-year-old female from Macungie 6:02 p.m. March 30 in the 6900 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Upper Macungie Township.

According to Lehigh County Coroner Eric D. Minnich, Lori Seip was pronounced dead 9:29 p.m. the same day at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Minnich said the cause of Seip’s death is multiple blunt force injuries due to a motorcycle/motor vehicle accident. He ruled the manner of her death an accident.
