Police Testing

The Lehigh County Police Testing Consortium and eight area agencies have entered into an agreement to conduct a cooperative testing process for the position of police officer.

The written exam will take place April 6, and the physical agility test will take place April 20.

The agencies participating at this time include the police departments of Whitehall Township, Coplay Borough, Catasauqua Borough, Coopersburg Borough, Emmaus Borough, South Whitehall Township, Upper Macungie Township and Upper Saucon Township.

A reportable accident involving two vehicles occurred in the 1600 block of Main Street.

In the 800 block of Main Street, a hit and run took place. The report said a legally parked vehicle was struck, damaging the driver-side mirror.

At Howertown Road and Banks Street, police responded to a reportable accident involving one vehicle.
