State police seek information on 16 unsolved homicides

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M has released information regarding 16 unsolved homicides on the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers website, crimewatchpa.com/crimestoppers/316.

Some of the cases from Northampton, Lehigh and Bucks counties are decades old, with one dating back to the 1950s.

Some of the highlighted cases include the following.

• Kelly McBride was residing in her home in Northampton Borough at the time of her murder. Her husband was convicted of her murder in 2001, but her remains were never recovered.

APRIL 1

At Force 1, 403 Wood St., abandoned vehicles were tagged.

A domestic dispute between a boyfriend and girlfriend occurred in the 100 block of Howertown Road.

Suspicious activity on Church Street was reported. The report said a person was looking through cars.

In the 500 block of Race Street, a fight over domestic issues occurred.

Officers assisted Whitehall police in the 3700 block of Lehigh Street.

A DUI arrest brought police to Third and Eugene streets.

Officers assisted Catasauqua police with a fight at 11th and Race streets.

An open car door in the 800 block of Willow Drive was investigated.

The department responded to a domestic disturbance in the 600 block of Walnut Street.

A sewer backup at Second and Eugene streets was reported.

A traffic stop was conducted at Fourth and Main streets.

Police investigated reports of criminal mischief on Delphi Drive, Forest Road and Hill Road.

A road rage incident in the 2100 block of MacArthur Road brought officers to the scene.

The department responded to a fire in the 3100 block of Hokendauqua Street.

A threat in the 200 block of Mickley Run was investigated.

Suspicious activity in the 500 block of Spruce Street was reported.

Officers responded to a theft from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Basswood Lane.

Whitehall man dies in crash

LEHIGH TWP.

A Whitehall Township man died Tuesday in a three-vehicle accident on Route 145 in Lehigh Township.

According to reports, Richard J. Pasko, 26, of Grape Street, was killed in the crash, which occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the area of 3 Mile Lane and closed a section of the highway.

Pasko was pronounced dead at the scene. He died from multiple blunt force trauma, according to Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek, who said the death was ruled an accident.

According to reports, a woman was injured in the crash.

In the 500 block of Race Street, a cellphone was stolen.

Officers conducted a welfare check on Second Street for a problem with other juveniles.

Police checked on the welfare of a person with mental health issues in the 100 block of Front Street.

The department said an investigation is continuing for a reckless driver complaint on Bridge Street.

In the 100 block of Front Street, Katelyn Viola, 27, of Catasauqua, was cited for disorderly conduct.

A male harassing another male brought officers to the 1500 block of Main Street.
