Passenger killed in two-vehicle crash

Yasmine Tyrea (Allen) Woodruff was a 2015 WHS graduate

A 2015 Whitehall High School graduate was killed in a two-vehicle collision Jan. 14 at the intersection of Mauch Chunk and Overlook roads, Allentown.

Yasmine Tyrea (Allen) Woodruff, 22, of Bethlehem, was pronounced dead 9 p.m. Jan. 14 by Deputy Coroner Jason Nicholas. An autopsy was completed Jan. 15, according to Lehigh County Coroner Eric Minnich. He said the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

A small white dog was reported to be running loose in the 1000 block of Catherine Drive. It was returned to the owner.

A disturbance at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., was reported.

Police assisted Lehigh County Auto Theft Task Force with an arrest on Second Street.

A citation was issued on Second Street.

Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief in the 3000 block of South Ruch Street.

Thefts on Maryland Circle and West Highland Street were investigated.

Police provided a protection-from-abuse order in the 1200 block of Hampshire Circle.

A wanted person on Mickley Road was reported.

Armed robbery reported at Hanover Township hotel

STATE POLICE

Pennsylvania State Police, Bethlehem, is investigating an armed robbery that took place Jan. 15 at Days Inn, 3400 Airport Road, Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

According to the report, troopers responded to a 4 a.m. call that a man walked into the hotel, approached the front desk, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.

Police said the desk personnel opened the cash drawer and gave the man the money inside.

The man then fled the scene, according to the report.

The department referred a harassment case, which took place in the 700 block of Third Street, to investigations.
