Dogs at large in the 600 block of Faith Drive were reported to the department.

A burglary occurred in the 100 block of Bridge Street. The report said money was stolen.

An abandoned vehicle was tagged in the 300 block of Walnut Street.

On Railroad Street, police assisted North Catasauqua officers during a traffic stop.

A driver was cited on Howertown Road.

Members of the department conducted a welfare check in the unit block of Lerchenmiller Drive.

Officers assisted Northampton County constables in serving a warrant in the 1600 block of Railroad Street.

A male shoplifting at Wine and Spirits Shoppe, 1910 Center St., was reported.

Police investigated a checking account fraud case in the 300 block of East 19th Street.

Police were on the scene of a disturbance in the 300 block of Chapel Street.

A disorderly group in the 700 block of Grove Street was addressed.

Officers assisted Catasauqua police with a disturbance in the 400 block of Prospect Street.

OCT. 14

A DUI and drug case had officers on the scene at Second and Almond streets.

The department responded to a report of suspicious activity in the area of Hunter and Berk streets.

Police seek information on daytime burglaries

Lehigh Township

Lehigh Township Police Department is investigating two daytime burglaries that occurred Oct. 21 and 22 in Lehigh Township.

According to the report, the forced entries into residences took place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. in Danielsville.

Items stolen include cash and change, jewelry, laptop computers and a semi-automatic black handgun, police said.

SEPT. 24

Officers were on the scene of domestic offenses against family on North Front and Fifth streets.

The department assisted with reports of fires on Catasauqua Road and Fifth Street.

Police responded to disturbances on Grape Street and Maryland Circle.

Suspicious activity in the 400 block of Windsor Street was reported.

A report of fraud in the 1100 block of Sixth Street was investigated.

Officers provided a protection-from-abuse service in the 1800 block of Steelstone Road.

A hit and run was investigated on Stonewood Place.

On Front Street, a driver was cited.

An animal complaint in the 400 block of Circle Drive was investigated. The dog was returned to its owner.

An adult female was arrested for false identification and drugs when police responded to a suspicious person report in the 100 block of North Front Street.

Officers investigated a report of soliciting in the unit block of North Fifth Street.

Police assisted a citizen in the 100 block of North Ruch Street.

A juvenile complaint in the unit block of South Third Street was investigated.

National Take Back Day is set for Oct. 26

The 18th National Take Back Day drug collection event has been scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26. During that time, Lehigh County residents can take expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications to police departments and other locations at 13 sites in Lehigh County.

County residents can dispose of capsules, pills, including pet medications, and liquids.

Syringes or sharps will not be accepted. Residents who dispose of medications will remain anonymous, and no questions will be asked.

Armed robbery reported at Hanover jewelry store

STATE POLICE

Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, Bethlehem, is investigating an armed robbery that took place Oct. 10 at Kay Jewelers in Hanover Township, Lehigh County.

According to the report, officers were called to 944 Airport Center Drive just after 10 a.m. A male, described as wearing a black hoodie and ski mask and carrying an orange bag, walked into the store, pointed a handgun at employees and stole about $20,000 worth of jewelry and $140 in cash from the register, police said.

He reportedly fled the area on foot, turning right out of the store.
