Allentown native Rick Braun, an internationally-renowned trumpet and flugelhorn player, producer and vocalist, has not performed in the Lehigh Valley since he left to study at the Eastman School of Music in 1973. The closest he has come to home have been performances at the Berks Jazz Fest and a performance at Kutztown University in 2000.

It doesn't pay to be a bad kid as spoiled Golden Ticket winners find out in the Act 3 Children's Theatre Company of DeSales University's production of Richard R. George's adaptation of Roald Dahl's "Charlie & The Chocolate Factory."
The show, 10 a.m. Thursdays and one Tuesday through May 2, Schubert Theatre, Labuda Center for the Performing Arts, DeSales University, and ably directed by Emiley Kiser, is perfect for all ages and for anyone who likes chocolate.
The Lehigh Valley Press print and online newspapers have won 20 Keystone Press Awards for work published in 2012.
Winners will be honored at the Keystone Press Awards Banquet during the 2013 Pennsylvania Press Conference May 18 at the Hilton Harrisburg. Award recipients receive plaques.
